Just like the Olympics, the Paralympic games relies on opening ceremonies to create momentum for the duration of the games. Once we discovered our spokesperson Amy Purdy, paralympic silver medalist in snowboarding, Dancing With The Stars finalist and double amputee was chosen to kick-off the Rio games with a 3 minute choreographed routine, Brand Buddha hit the ground running. Especially since the opportunity wasn’t secured until 5 days before the event.


Brand Buddha conceptualized and turned around all communications, including multiple landing pages (A/B tested), created and populated social media around Amy’s Olympic performance and developed surrounding product marketing to create awareness around not only the prosthetic feet Amy uses, but other products in the Freedom offering as well. The end result was over 7.6 million viewers were exposed to Amy’s dancing talent and Freedom’s innovations.
